If you have read my last post https://cabanas.world/2018/11/09/im-back/
you know i have been absent from my blog due to preparing my sister’s WEDDING! WHOOP!!Organizing a wedding is HARD WORK, we planned and done all of it ourselves, especially when the wedding takes place in a different country from where you live. 🙂
Pre wedding day :
The day before the wedding was a rush rush, get all the food for the breakfast and starters, set up the living rooms for the guests, i had to go get my hair done because the wedding day there would be no time for me, i left the hairdresser at 11pm! After dinner me, Mum, Luis and Liz went to the venue to start decorating it. We put up the flowers, balloons, glitter table decor. Left the venue was 2am, bless my sister she had to be up for 7am to go have her hair and make up done.
Dia antes do Casamento:
The wedding day:
Liz had gone to get herself ready, so me and dad started decorating the house, with flowers and balloons, Lucy and Ayako got the starters and breakfast ready for the guests. I was a little stressed, Liz had asked me to keep on top of things and make sure everything went to plan and i didn’t want anything to go wrong and ruin her day! Guests started arriving so i went up to get changed and ready to then find out my mum had taken my shoes to her house!! NOT GOOD! That precise moment Liz arrived with the photographer who wanted to take pictures with the sisters… great timing SIR! To save the situation my Auntie from USA borrowed me her shoes for the photo shoot, better have big shoes than NO shoes. 🙂 Was great to see the family together, have Luis family there and being able to speak to them and get to know them better. Having my family from USA there was great, missed them from when i had gone to America to visit them last year September.
When it was time to drive to the ceremony, i went with my parents, the venue was small so we didn’t all fit inside, the deal was that the Civil would take place at the venue but the registrar didn’t want to leave the office! Me, Lucy, Ayako, Jeremy and my cousins from America all stayed outside. Once the ceremony was over and they were officially Husband and Wife, i had to leave to go the the venue and make sure all was ready and to plan before they arrived. Milena and Joe took me there, which meant that neither of us got a chance to take photos with the groom and bride! To be honest i didn’t even think about it 😦 At the venue i went round checking how the things were, if they was all in place when i realized one of the table towels were dirty! I called one of the staff and requested for it to be changed to a clean one, last thing i wanted was my sister getting upset and angry today! Guest started arriving i got them sited where their names were, and finally the groom and bride arrived! The food started being served, everyone was happy, talking, laughing and the food was delicious. The venue was located in Live Beach, Mangualde (our City). Ayako, Jeremy and Nina made a speech which was amazing, when Luis said his speech he became emotional as he didn’t have his dad there on such a special day. The whole wedding was great, they looked amazing and so happy!! The party continued at my sister Lucy house until early hours !
Finalment a ceremonia acabou e eles ja eram oficialment Marido e Mulher.
